Storage Management on Linux

This BoFs is aiming at hammering out the requirements for implementing a real storage management on Linux. The proposed storage management should provide functionality for

  • Provisioning storage
  • Manage provisioned storage
  • Possibly monitor provisioned storage
  • Possibly identify and use additional
  • Functionality on the storage (snapshot, etc.)

"Storage" here could be anything, from a local disk to an external Storage cluster. This BoFs is a continuation of the proposed discussion at LSFMM (Linux Storage, Filesystem and Memory Management Summit), however, it is open to all participants.
